Ryan Hey is a dedicated Precision Rifle Series competitor known for his consistency, technical expertise, and ability to perform under pressure. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ryan served 16 years in the U.S. Army, including three deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, before medically retiring. His military background laid the foundation for the discipline, focus, and resilience he brings to the firing line today.

Now based in Georgetown, Texas, Ryan works in the Ballistics Division at Nielsen-Kellerman, where he contributes to industry-leading tools like Kestrel Ballistics and MagnetoSpeed. With over 12 years of experience in PRS competition, he has competed in 180 matches, including 118 Pro Series events, building extensive experience at both the regional and national levels.

Ryan’s standout performances include a 12th place finish out of 114 shooters at the 2020 Kestrel Fall Classic and a 1st place finish at the Hill Country Precision Match in October 2025. Known for his methodical approach and deep understanding of ballistics, he consistently delivers strong results in demanding match conditions.
