John Childs is a dedicated Precision Rifle Series competitor who brings a grounded, no-frills approach to the sport. Based in Millsap, Texas, John has spent the past three years building his presence in the PRS community through consistent performance and a love for the process.

Over the course of 58 PRS matches, including 16 Pro Series events, John has proven himself as a steady and reliable competitor. His top Pro Series finish came at the 2025 Two Rivers by Sig Sauer match, where he placed 27th out of 91 shooters. On the Regional side, he’s delivered multiple strong performances, including a 2nd place finish at the Hill Country Precision Match in May 2025. He also secured a 3rd place finish and Top Senior at the STX Precision match, and followed that up with a 6th place finish overall and another Top Senior at the Freestone Shooting Complex PRS Regional in August 2025. John consistently shows up and performs.

Outside of competition, John is a fishing guide, outdoor writer, and travel consultant who lives and breathes the outdoor lifestyle.
