Bruce Piatt

Bruce Piatt is one of the most accomplished action-pistol competitors in the world, with a career spanning decades at the highest level of competition. Known for his precision, consistency, and ability to perform under pressure, Bruce has earned multiple national and world titles and is widely recognized as one of the sport’s elite pistol shooters.

At the 2025 CMP Bianchi Cup National Action Pistol Championship, Bruce captured his eighth career Bianchi Cup title, once again proving his place among the best in the sport. Competing at the Green Valley Rifle & Pistol Club in Missouri, he posted the only perfect 1920 score of the match, edging out a world-class field to reclaim the championship. Remarkably, he accomplished the win despite battling illness throughout the event and making a last-minute switch to a backup pistol—demonstrating the focus and adaptability that define his shooting career.

The Bianchi Cup—considered one of the most demanding pistol championships in the world—tests competitors across four events: Practical, Barricade, Moving Target, and Falling Plates, requiring flawless execution with no makeup shots allowed. Bruce’s perfect score across these stages highlights both his technical mastery and his longevity at the top of the sport.

Beyond his championship wins, Bruce remains deeply involved in the shooting community as a competitor, trainer, and mentor. Through instruction and industry work, he continues to share decades of experience in pistol performance, competition preparation, and shooting fundamentals. Whether competing on the national stage or working with fellow shooters, Bruce represents the discipline, professionalism, and passion that define elite action-pistol shooting.
