Match King bullets utilize a very thin jacket with much harder lead than used in our hunting bullets. They are designed for extreme accuracy with no thought put into expansion.
The Tipped Game King (TGK) is the Game Changer bullet.
Neck sizing only will work the brass less and extend the life of your brass. Can usually do this 2 or 3 times before having to full length size for chambering issues.
You will need to use a fast burning powder like H4895, Benchmark, or 8208. This will allow you to burn all the powder in the barrel which will increase velocity and increase your chances of hitting an accuracy node.
We are required by SAMMI to test in PSI now. For this testing we need reference ammo from SAMMI and we have only received enough reference ammo to test 1 bullet to data.
The firearm industry used to pressure test using the CUP method. We are required to test in PSI now utilizing SAMMI reference ammo with known min-max pressure limits.
We introduced our #2236 30-205 HPBT which will expand down to 900 ft/s this year. It is an excellent sub-sonic hunting bullet.
There is a .004-.006 tolerance for headspacing the chamber in rifles. The half that will not chamber needs to have the shoulder bumped back .002-.003. this will allow them to chamber properly.
That conversation has been had and continues. We have a very accurate and popular bullet for this cartridge and when our testing is completed the decision will be made if it is economically viable to add it to our ammo lineup.
You most certainly can. We have 300 and 400 grain .458 bullets that can be used as a sabot. They are tested for accracy at 200 yards like our match king bullets and expand very well.
